SUPERINTENDENT ROCK ENGINEERING IN RUSTENBURG
Requirements: Chamber of Mines Rock Mechanics Certificate (for Metalliferous Mines) 5 years experience in mining; rock engineering or strata control Member of the professional body (SANIRE) BSc or BTech Degree/National Diploma in Mining Engineering or Geology will be advantageous Working knowledge of Critical Controls, Bowtie Analysis and FOG Management systems will be advantageous KPAs: Execution of current mine design at the operation Hazard identification, risk assessments, accident investigation and risk rating surveys Regional and Local Excavation and Support Design (using empirical methods and rock engineering tools) Day-to-day rock engineering and design recommendations suitably backed up by modelling or other techniques Management of Rock Engineering staff Business Plan Execution Quality Assurance and Quality Control Routine and ad hoc underground inspections Please note should you not receive a response within 7 days of applying, you may regard your application as being unsuccessful.
