SUPERINTENDENT DEVELOPMENT MAINTENANCE IN PHALABORWA
Purpose: The position will be responsible for providing technical expertise and leadership to a skilled maintenance team at the Electrical and Trackless Mobile Machinery sections within Horizontal & Vertical development. The role also carries legal responsibility in terms of the South African Mine Health and Safety Act. Qualifications & Experience: * B Tech or BSc Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering. * Government Certificateof Competency Electrical or Mechanical (Mines). * Knowledge of Asset Management principles. * Shaft sinking experience will be advantageous. * Minimum of five years post GCC working experience in a Mining Shaft/TMM Maintenance environment Key responsibilities will include: * Overseeing the maintenance of UG TMMs, Electrical and pumping infrastructure within the Development foot print. * Implementation and continuous improvement of Reliability Centred Maintenance. * Achieving Best Practice work culture in maintenance standards and procedures. * Ensuring that the Company's Safety, Health and Environmental Standards are implemented and maintained. * Investigating equipment failures and carrying out root cause analyses to improve reliability. * Reviewing and managing a 3 year business plan for the section. * Preparing operational and capital budgets and managing the finances within company required limits. * Carrying the legal responsibility as 2.13.3.1 within area of responsibility. Intrinsic Qualities: * Proficiency in maintenance and strategic planning, organisational development and leadership. * Ability to plan, manage and control a section's budget. * Proven Safety and Production track record in a Leadership position. *Desired Skills: * * Health Management * GCC * Asset Management principles * Shaft sinking * Electrical Engineering * Site Coordination *Desired Work Experience: * * 5 to 10 years *Desired Qualification Level: * * Degree
