Our Client in the Mining Industry is looking for an Underground Mine Manager to join their team in the North-West area. Requirements: Mining Engineering Degree ⁠Mine managers certificate of competence for metalliferous mines ⁠Underground blasting ticke t for metalliferous mines ⁠Mine Overseers certificate of competence ⁠Min 10 years' experience in narrow tabular underground mining. ⁠Willing to relocate to Rustenburg area ⁠Experience in conventional stope mining methods advantageous ⁠Experience in Chrome, Gold or Platinum mining advantageous ⁠Exposure to Chrome wash plants advantageous Duties and Responsibilities: Oversee and manage underground mining operations, ensuring safety, efficiency, and production targets are met. Ensure compliance with MHSA regulations and DMRE requirements, promoting a strong safety culture. Lead and mentor teams, including Mine Overseers and Shift Supervisors, driving workforce performance and development. Implement and optimise narrow tabular mining methods and conventional stope mining techniques. Manage mine planning, production, and operational strategies to maximise resource extraction. Ensure effective blasting operations, ground support, and ventilation for safe underground mining. Oversee compliance, reporting, and stakeholder engagement with regulatory bodies and local communities. Advantageous: Experience in Chrome, Gold, or Platinum mining and exposure to Chrome wash plants. Willingness to relocate to Rustenburg and be based on-site for operational oversight.
