Salary: R10 000 - R13 000 Location: BETWEEN PAARL AND FRANSCHHOEK POSITION INFO: Semi-Skilled Diesel Fitter NB Email cv to hr@sablewood.co.za JOB DESCRIPTION: Seeking a Semi-skilled diesel fitter to join an already functioning team on a farm between Paarl and Franschhoek. This position will require the candidate to raise and maintain a high standard of plant maintenance. This will include general maintenance, general wear parts replacement, component maintenance and preventative maintenance. Occasionally, you will be required assist on repairs of major components. The ideal candidate will have good communication skills and show a desire to perform their tasks at a high standard. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: - Conduct services and service related repairs on Earthmoving Equipment. - Fill in service checklists and report defects to workshop manager. - Carry out daily pre-start inspections on plant. - Perform Housekeeping and maintain a high standard of cleanliness. - Replace tips, liners and other general wear parts. - Inspect and determine wear severity on pins, bushes, links, hydraulic cylinders, suspension parts, tyres and other related components. - Have a good understanding of operation principles related to Earthmoving Plant, Trucks and forklifts.
