It is made from a mixture of cotton and linen, and is sized with gelatin. Each sheet is deckle-edged, and bears the stamp and watermark of the RWS. At 425gsm, these are thick, high-quality sheets. They have a rough, textured surface, and are not suitable for detailed work. Artists wishing to produce detailed work are advised to try the Hot-pressed or Not versions of these sheets.
