QUALIFIED MAINTENANCE FITTER IN EAST LONDON

MAINTENANCE FITTER / EAST LONDON – Our Client within the Petrochemical Industry is seeking to employ a Qualified Maintenance Fitter effective immediately on a Contract term till end of 2021 with option for renewal. Previous experience within this Industry will be advantageous, but not necessary, however “PUMP” knowledge/experience is Key for this role. PURPOSE OF THE ROLE; The primary focus shall be execution of mechanical repairs as set out below and the employee will report directly to the Maintenance Manager MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS; Trade Test Qualification is required Minimum of 3 years' professional experience in Maintenance as a fitter Strong Pumps, hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical and industrial skills Valid Drivers license and own transport essential (for standby callouts) OBJECTIVES; Executing repairs to all mechanical equipment in order to secure continuity of production Assembling, installation, testing and maintaining equipment, appliances, apparatus and fixtures Fault finding to all malfunctioning systems, apparatus and components, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem Inspecting equipment and components to identify defects and the need for adjustment and/or repair to ensure continuous safe operation Testing all systems and continuity of equipment and fixtures, to ensure compatibility to safety Maintaining machinery and equipment in the plant and keeping them in a good technical condition Recommending on equipment and solutions that shall be used in the ISP, Ensuring safety standards Identifying and maximizing opportunities to make cost savings, including utilities usage; Controlling technical conditions of the equipment and supervising if its execution is in line with technical documentation Executing preventative activities for machinery and equipment Contacting vendors to provide maintenance services Salary: Market related (depending on experience) Application Process: Online applications will receive preference, ensure you upload a head and shoulder photo, alternatively E-mail CV with qualifications and recent head and shoulder photo to solutions@workafrica.co.za, ensure you use "MAINTENANCE FITTER" as a reference in the subject field.
