Is it possible to determine how personal characteristics, environmental changes, and diseases are interconnected using causal modeling and structural equation modeling? Selection Criteria Doctoral degree in Biostatistics, Applied Statistics, or related field obtained within the last 5 years. Must have strong quantitative and qualitative data collection and analytical skills. South Africans, permanent residents, or internationals for full-time research. Preference will be given to South African black female citizens and permanent residents. Young and emerging scholars with a minimum of 5 publications Value and tenure The fellowship is valued at R300 000 per year (non-taxable). The fellowship is valid for ONE year, but renewable for a second year based on excellent performance and availability of funds. Conditions of award Applicant must be ready to publish a minimum of 2units in DHET-accredited journals based on the current project and present at conferences. The successful applicant will be required to be based at Alice Campus for the duration of the fellowship or as agreed by the host.
