An antique white Lithophane Image mug in honor of King Edward VII Coronation in 1902. The front of the cup exterior features an undamaged, hand-coloured transfer which depicts a Crown, King Edward's monogram and 1902 date. The gilding on the upper edges of the cup and the handle are very slightly worn off. The mugs interior features a unique molded Lithophane portrait of King Edward VII on the bottom of the inside. This resembles a black and white photograph when it is held to the light. Also available is a similar mug which was produced in honor of King Edward 's wife, Alexandra. Unfortunately the base of this mug is cracked but the Lithophane Image is clear. The exterior of the mug is in good condition, and when displayed together the two mugs present a special token of historical memorabilia.
