We at Canterberry Stables care for our clients horses like they are our own. We strive in giving the horses what nature intended. Big grass herd camps and spacious individual paddocks with shelters. Canterberry Stables is a place were horses and owners can retreat to. We are situated in the Boland town Klapmuts on a beautiful tranquil 40 hectare farm, surrounded by the Paarl and Franschhoek mountains. We are 10 min drive from the famous Mistico 20 min drive from Durbanville, Stellenbosch and Wellington. We have a big 80x60 arena with jumping equipment and we have a big lunging ring. We have a large farm dam that we utilize in summer and take the horses for a swim. I have 1 stable available in Colleen Glen for your best friend to keep my two horses company. The monthly fee includes 1 large stable, bedding, feed (concentrates and hay) fed twice a day, regular grooming, daily stable cleaning and general daily care. I have no grooms, your horse will be cared for by myself along with my own horses. Horses graze during the day on approx. 1.2 hectares of pastures with ample shade from large trees. The stables are opened at night for shelter and feeeding purposes. Stable doors are left open so they can come and go as they please. Horses are blanketed in winter (blankets not supplied). There is space in the tack room for your saddles and bridals and a gate remote will be given for easy access. There is a small schooling grass arena available on the property and have close access to the Island Nature Reserve (permits are required). Your horse must come with proof of inoculations and is to be dewormed on arrival. Please call if you are interested and want to come and inspect the premises. Price approx.
