Bachelors degree in Nursing (or equivalent). For internationally qualified nurses, qualifications will be assessed for equivalency to Australian standards. Key Responsibilities: Provide holistic, patient-centred care that promotes dignity, independence, and quality of life. Assess and develop individualised care plans based on residents medical and personal needs. Administer medications, injections, and IV therapy, while monitoring side effects and reactions. Assist with mobility support, wound management, and pressure injury prevention. Implement infection prevention and control measures to ensure a safe environment for all residents. Collaborate with physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and dietitians to optimise patient health. Provide support for residents with dementia and palliative care, ensuring comfort and dignity at all times. Respond promptly to emergencies and rapidly deteriorating conditions, escalating cases as needed. Maintain accurate nursing documentation and patient records in accordance with legal and regulatory standards. Provide education and emotional support to families and caregivers regarding aged care needs. Supervise and mentor enrolled nurses and care assistants to ensure best practices are maintained.
