This course helps young adolescents to develop their voice whilst eliminating any speech impediments. The course was devised on the basis of using drama exercises (as a template), because I dealt with a lot of students who don’t understand what is expected of them when correcting voice. When using drama exercises this helps them to understand (in laymen’s terms) all elements which constitutes correct speech. The exercises in the course focuses on combining an arrangement of concepts, which will help them, achieve great results. Some Common Speech Disorders: Stuttering - interferes with fluent speech, Cluttering - makes speech difficult to understand, Articulation Disorders - lisping, cleft palate, Apraxia (dyspraxia) -also known as oral-motor speech disorder, Dysarthria - Paralysis, weakness or generally poor coordination of the muscles of the mouth, Speech Sound Disorder - Omissions, Substitutions, Distortions, Phonation Disorder - hoarse, raspy, or pitch changes, Resonance Disorders - Hypernasality and Hyponasality. I have had a lot of success with this course...I look forward to hearing from you soon!

Elocution is speaking in a polished and professional way. Accent Reduction is when you reduce your current accent (Coloured, African, Afrikaans, European, etc.) so that you can sound more neutral English like what you hear in South Africa. The course makes you aware of the sound system (or phonology) of a language or dialect: which include identifying problems in the person's current speech from the desired accent (such as pronunciation, speech patterns, and speech habits), changing the way one uses the mouth, teeth, and tongue to form vowel and consonant sounds, modifying one's intonation and stress patterns, and changing one's rhythm. Using this method, individuals trying to help their communication; will learn how to alter their speech to more closely resemble the accent of neutral English commonly used in SA and abroad, thus enhancing the clarity of their communication within the workplace. Benefits: •Greater confidence when speaking in public, business and social situations •Better Communication with people at conferences, meetings and or on the telephone •Greater awareness of how to use your voice effectively •Professionalize the way you speak •Improved results when you need to get your ideas across •Elocution Techniques to control and project your voice •A reduction of any specific voice features including a regional or national accent •Clear speech and diction in a neutral accent helping you reach your potential and goals.

1. Why do I need to learn English Grammar? 2. How can I use English Grammar to learn English? To answer your questions: 1. You cannot escape from learning grammar; as it is vital in every sentence you read or write, speak or hear. By understanding the correct grammar rules, it will enable you to put words together in a sensible order, thus allowing you to speak confidently and fluently, whilst adding the right endings. You will know how to avoid errors, by producing combinations of sounds and letters that others can understand. This will aid you at home, at work and in your social life. Benefits: • Boosts your confidence level • Makes you a strong communicator in person and on all online platforms • Increases credibility – quality grammar invokes trust • Perfectionism 2. You can use English Grammar to learn English by learning as many words as you can, then using this when speaking to people. You can put together all the words into parts of speech, as the parts of speech will tell you how to use the word in a sentence: noun, pronoun, adjective, article, verb, adverb, conjunction, preposition and interjection. When you identify words, like parts of speech, you get a better idea of how words come together in a sentence - watch movies and television shows. On another note: by identifying patterns in a sentence, you will better understand regular and irregular conjugation (bake – baked) or verb forms in simple present, past and future, so that you can start practising with present perfect, past perfect, and past continuous. Biebie impacts your future as a winner, whilst training you in English Grammar Skills. biebieproductions #biebieproductionscpt #biebie #biebietrainswinners #biebieimpactslives #LearnEnglish #English #vocabulary #englishteacher #studyenglish #studyenglishonline #learnenglishonline #grammar #englishgrammarskills #englishvocabulary #speakenglish #englishlanguage #englishtips #englishgrammar #learningenglish #englishlearning #englishclass #esl #englishcourse #ingl #language #education

With this course: Effective Speaking, I teach you how to reflect your own personality whilst at the same time speaking with confidence and clarity. Your vocal sound and speech content can reveal your emotional state. For example; if your self-esteem is low your voice will have a hesitancy, and sentences have little volume; whereas, if you are confident it shows in the way you command your voice and incorporate superb Elocution. Various Aspects of Effective Speaking I cover: •Accent Reduction - heavy accents can mar communication, •Finding your vocal tones - pitch, resonance and tone (emotions) can bring any speech alive, •The effect on your voice when using the correct breathing method for speech, •Vocal production - enunciation and pronunciation to promote eloquence and clarity when speaking.

What should be the main goal of any pronunciation class or course? What are the kinds of exercises that will help you improve your pronunciation? First, the main goal of any Elocution/pronunciation course should be to focus on accent reduction, not accent elimination, which is technically impossible. Students should work on reducing areas of their pronunciation and enunciation that make it difficult for native speakers to understand them. Second, with this goal in mind, students need to be able to identify which areas of pronunciation and enunciation give them the most inaudibility; such as, vowel and consonant sounds, word and sentence stress, word reductions, linking, and intonation. Finally, you need to practice these structured exercises to extemporaneous speech in different situations, because practice makes perfect. Improving your pronunciation will take a lot of patience and commitment, but the end product - your unique, well developed voice - is worth it! SKYPE LESSONS AVAILABLE

A Grammar of the English Language by William Cobbett A Grammar of the English Language provides a fascinating snapshot of the language and grammar of the early nineteenth century. It was a controversial book, first published in 1818 in New York and in 1819 in London. The author, William Cobbett (1763-1835), was a champion of the poor who had taught himself to read and write. His radicalism brought him into conflict with the authorities on many occasions. He reserved a special kind of venom for politicians, men of letters like Dr. Johnson, the lexicographer, and for Fellows of English Colleges, "who live by the sweat of other people's brows." Here, he criticizes these men for their poor command of English, which was (he says) no better than that of chambermaids, hucksters, and plough-boys. Written in the form of letters and lessons to his fourteen-year-old son, the Grammar is the most colorful and entertaining treatment of the subject ever published. It gives advice on syntax and etymology, including "false grammar taken from Dr. Johnson's writing," "errors and nonsense in a king's speech," and "six lessons, intended to prevent Statesman from using false grammar." This edition includes a new introduction by Lord Hattersley, which gives the book a modern perspective.

Appearing in 1855, My Bondage and My Freedom is the second autobiography written by Frederick Douglass (1818-95), a man who was born into slavery in Maryland and who went on to become the most famous antislavery author, orator, philosopher, essaysist, historian, intellectual, statesman and freedom-fighter in US history. An instant bestseller, Douglass's autobiography tells the story of his early life as lived in 'bondage' and of his later life as lived in a 'freedom' that was in name only. Recognizing that his body and soul were bought and sold by white slaveholders in the US South, he soon realized his story was being traded by white northern antislavery campaigners. Douglass's My Bondage and My Freedom is a literary, intellectual and philosophical tour-de-force in which he betrays his determination not only to speak but to write 'just the word that seemed to me the word to be written by me.' This new edition examines Douglass's biography, literary strategies and political activism alongside his depiction of Black women's lives and his narrative histories of Black heroism. This volume also reproduces Frederick Douglass's only work of fiction, The Heroic Slave, published in 1853. Features Summary My Bondage and My Freedom is the second of Frederick Douglass's full-length autobiographies. An important slave autobiography, it is significant both for what it tells us about slave life and about its author. Public Speaking (sometimes termed oratory or oration) is the process or act of performing a presentation (a speech) focused around an individual directly speaking to a live audience in a structured, deliberate manner in order to inform, influence, or entertain them. Public speaking is commonly understood as the formal, face-to-face talking of a single person to a group of listeners, either for school, workplace or our personal lies. It is closely allied to b'"'presentingb'"', although the latter is more often associated with commercial activity. Most of the time, public speaking is to persuade the audience. In public speaking, as in any form of communication, there are five basic elements, often expressed as b'"'who is saying what to whom using what medium with what effects?b'"' The purpose of public speaking can range from simply transmitting information, to motivating people to act, to simply telling a story. Good orators should be able to change the emotions of their listeners, not just inform them. Public speaking has several components that embrace such things as motivational speaking, leadership/personal development, business, customer service, large group communication, and mass communication. Public speaking can be a powerful tool to use for purposes such as motivation, influence, persuasion, informing, translation, or simply ethos. This is a course specifically designed to help you when speaking publicly. Public Speaking can branch out into the following careers: motivational speaking, leadership/personal development, business, customer service, large group communication, and mass communication.
