Basic Requirements: Tertiary Education: N.Dip Electrical Engineering / B.Eng Mechatronics Driver’s License: Code 8 - required Languages: English – read, write & speak Afrikaans – read, write & speak (optional) German – read, write & speak (optional) Experience: • Sales & Marketing experience (advantageous) • Project management experience (advantageous) • Experience in the automation field, control systems, and electrical design • Concept preparation • Interpretation of electrical drawings • Process engineering experience (advantageous) • Costing & estimation experience • Working knowledge of E-plan software Job Objectives: • To keep the Company at the forefront of technology. • To provide innovative solutions to our customers. Responsibility: Main Tasks and Responsibilities: • Developing solutions for enquiries brought in by sales personnel. • Supporting KAM during customer presentations and if required during negotiations. • Researching the latest technical developments i.e. new components, software packages, control strategies etc. • Establishing concept designs based on solutions offered to customer. • Together with KAM, prepare all the relevant documentation for the hand over to projects department. • Maintaining quality of solutions offered by the Company. Prior sales experience in the electrical industry would also be beneficial, the right personality and drive is a must though. The ideal candidate must meet the following requirements. · Maintain sales and support to new and existing clients. · Calling and following up on Industry end users, switchgear panel builders, system integrators, consultants and contractors. · Conduct preliminary site inspections and energy studies together with engineer and technician. · Compile an accurate and comprehensive data base on customers and their relationships/influences. · Generating growth of allocated and new customer base on power quality products and solutions. · Prepare customer proposals, reports and quotations. · Prepare and conduct training/presentations to customers. · Conducting exhibitions and customer specific training if required. · Update customer base on product updates and new products. · Prepare and report on sales for your respective allocated area. · Attend key project or customer meetings. · Report on competitor activities in the area. · Compile monthly sales review and forecasts. · Assist engineering and technical staff with projects and studies. A valid grade 12 certificate (essential). · Tertiary qualification preferably in Electrical Engineering. · A minimum of 3-4 years electrical sales experience. · A strong knowledge of electrical products. · Must be computer literate. · An intimate knowledge of the area will be an advantage. · Must have a valid driver’s license.
