We are looking for a Qualified Diesel Mechanic for a National Company in Port Elizabeth. Minimum Requirements: Must be a trade tested Earth Moving Equipment Mechanic. Preference CAT / VOLVO machinery, Excavators, Loaders, TLB’s, Dumpers, Forklifts... Must have own transport. Must have a Grade 12. Ability to work long hours if required, and work out of town on Mobile Site’s with a 5 day pay weekend per month. Ability to meet strict deadlines. Ability to work under pressure. Ability to work with minimum supervision. Have Clear criminal record (Criminal Check will be conducted). Must be medically fit (Medical examination will be conducted). Responsibility: Working hours will be in accordance to days and hours as operational required, which is generally from Monday to Saturday, Mon - Fri 7:00 – 17:00 and Saturday’s 7:00 and 14:00. However, work outside of these days and hours will be mandatory should there be an operational need. Kindly note this will be a temp contact initially and will be reviewed to permanent in the future. Your Responsibilities - Drive our service vehicle to perform onsite diagnostics and repairs. - Respond to breakdowns 24/7 and conduct repairs after hours. - Diagnose and repair faults in various vehicle systems. - Install and configure electrical components and aftermarket accessories. - Conduct service functions like coding injectors and programming keys. - Manage stock in the service vehicle for efficient operations. - Utilize diagnostic tools to identify electrical issues. - Ensure safety regulations are followed during onsite visits. - Complete job cards and communicate repair details with service advisors. What You Need - 12+ years of experience as an auto electrician. - Strong work ethic and attention to detail. - Proficient in diagnosing issues without just swapping parts. - Solid knowledge of electrical systems and wiring repairs. - Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams. - Strong communication skills and a professional demeanor. - Reliable transportation to work daily. What Sets You Apart - Hands-on experience with various vehicles and systems. - Extensive use of oscilloscope diagnostics. - Experience with electric and hybrid vehicles. - Field service experience and a master technician qualification. Qualifications - Valid driving license (code 8+, unendorsed). - Trade test qualification (red seal mechanical/electrical or BSc Eng. Degree). - Clear criminal record. Opportunity Available!! Our leading client in the Automotive Sector is looking to employ a Toolmaker to join their dynamic team in East London. Job Responsibilities: Care and maintenance of all moulds Assist with tool trials/tool preparation with planning department To ensure that all tools are prepared and available for production when required To ensure repairs and services to tooling is in accordance with the company guidelines To flush and clean tooling after production To report defects and repairs by logging on control documents To report any deviations to management Up keep and maintenance of Toolroom equipment and machinery 5S Job Requirements: N2 Trade Certificate minimum. 3 to 5 years working experience as a qualified toolmaker with Injection Moulding experience. Technical Knowledge in the Auto Injection mould industry. Experience working with large moulds 20 - 30 tons Heavy Duty Crane License would be an added advantage. Knowledge and understanding of working with tools with hot runners, grained surfaces and 2K materials is a requirement.
