Our client, a leader in the automotive component sector, seeks to employ a Quality Planning Technician to join their Quality department. Duties: Monitor and control non-conforming parts according to Management Handbook procedures Coordinate task related supplier complaints and special release Maintain the Control plan, Inspection plan work instruction and other documents relevant to quality management system Monitor Daily scrap performance and conduct root cause analysis for top scrap Conduct random audits/line inspection when required Conduct Exports checks Support with activities for PPAP release Verification of accredited quality data in SAP Be agreeable to work in any station specified by QA Manager Requirements: University Degree in Metallurgy, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering. Quality qualification will be an advantage 1-3 Years experience in automotive and quality environment Familiarity with measuring principles and equipment Able to work with SAP and SPC programmes Able to create and update quality relevant procedures and instructions Quality core tools knowledge Be conversant with inspections process and MSA requirements SECTOR: Automotive

Important Working Relationships: Internal QA QC Manager, Document Control, Procurement Manager, Site Manager, Construction Manager & Planner External Clients QC Representative, Sub Contractors Qualifications and Experience: Must be computer literate. Must be language proficient (English) and be a good communicator. Detailed knowledge of the projects specifications and the company and clients quality requirements for the required disciplines. Necessary qualification for field of expertise. Duties and Responsibilities: Ensure that the duties of his employer as contemplated in the OHS Act, Act 85, 1993, are properly discharged. To familiarise yourself with the contract document client drawings and general arrangements. Ensure records and drawings index are controlled, as per the index / transmittal. Ensure that superseded drawings are removed from the work place with the co-operation of the Site Manager. Ensure that as built drawings are completed timeously. Red lined drawings are issued to Eng for as-built. Ensure that all inspections of the installations are completed as required, with in the work instructions, QCPs and site requirements, Ensure back punch is completed to requirements. Ensure that a 24-hour notice period is given to the client for inspection verbally or written. Ensure that Q.C. packs are completed on companys Standard Forms/Client Forms and given to clients as per the project requirements. Ensure that a punch list is created with the client on inspection in writing. Liaise with client and QA/QC representatives. On request by the Stores Controller, ensure that a materials inspection is done of all materials delivered. On request by the client or request by manufacturer or Procurement Department an inspection of materials is to be done at the manufacturers, as listed in the work instructions. Ensure adequate lay down areas for materials been delivered demarcated area. Ensure that there is an ongoing surveillance on installation of materials. Ensure that non-conformances raised by client are reviewed and actioned. Maintain a register of concessions requested and non-conformance reports. Ensure that key personnel are aware of their responsibilities. Ensure that internal audits are carried out in accordance with the companies QMS. Ensure that quarantine areas are demarcated. Ensure that all aspects of the QC related work instructions related to the project is maintained and complied to.

POSITION - Injection Moulding Machine Setter WIRQUIN, A manufacturer of innovative sanitary and plumbing equipment, has a vacancy for an experienced, self-motivated, and driven Plastic Machine Setter based in Uitenhage. AS SETTER, YOU I WILL BE EXPECTED TO: 1.) Apply Organisational Policies and Procedures 2.) Be responsible for re-setting activities on your shift on all Injection, compression, and ancillary equipment. 3.) Set machine settings to setup sheets, connecting water, hydraulics, and air feeds as required. 4.) Perform QA tests & inspections after every mould change or production start-up to ensure quality products 5.) Conduct pre-operating inspections to determine operational fitness and safety of the machines and the environment 6.) Apply quality procedures and standards to all areas of operating influence 7.) Ensure all process documentation relating to manufacturing is available, correct and aligned to re-setting KPI’s 8.) Ensure all production documentation relating to manufacturing is available and correctly completed for each shift 9.) Plan / prepare tooling for all processes / product changes within specified set-up times 10.) Identify / Initiate maintenance & mould repair work orders for moulds, machines & auxiliary equipment 11.) Participate in resolving all relevant Health, Safety and Environmental issues in the workplace 12.) Perform relevant routine First Line Preventative Maintenance according to defined checklists and safety standards 13.) Actively engage in continuous improvement practices 14.) Ensure area is clean and clear of tools, water hoses and other equipment when setup is done. 15.) Operate any machine / combination of machines at or below my current level 16.) Communicate any pertinent information on incoming and outgoing shift.
