Overview The width measuring system adopts dual industrial CCD cameras to proceed the online measurement of the steel plate on the roller bed by using the principle of stereo vision technology, and combines the high-speed digital signal processing technology and programming software to process the signals accordingly, and displays the relevant data and measurement curves, so that we can realize precise control of the steelmaking process during production. The system realizes the width measurement of the slab through the line scan cameras installed on both sides of the gantry slab, and the measurement data is transmitted to the host system through the optical fiber. Accurately calculate the actual width of the slab and the width deviation of the slab from the data collected by the linear array CCD camera with up to 8K pixels and the relative position of the double linear array CCD cameras installed on site. Then we can the actual parameter data and allowable deviation parameters of the slab by using the host system software part, so as to realize the alarm control. The measuring principle of the system The slab/strip width measuring system is mainly composed of a hardware system and a software system. The hardware system includes two line scan cameras which can scan and image for the casting billet, and the arithmetic unit calculates the absolute position and width of the casting billet by the measurement data collected by the line scan cameras. If a color camera is used, the temperature of the slab can be measured at the same time and transmitted to the host system of the width measuring device. The software in the host system calculates the actual width of the slab and the width at room temperature according to the data of the arithmetic logic unit, and displays the relevant data and change curve, then alarm according to the deviation threshold set by the software system or manually. The software system is mainly used to analyze and process the measurement data collected by the hardware system, display the casting billet data analyzed by the software through the display panel, and send control and alarm to the hardware system instruction. When measuring with a line scan camera, the width measuring device uses two cameras to measure the object at the same time from different angles. The two cameras are like human eyes, which can form stereo vision, so that the sufficient information can be got to judge the distance of the measured object. Correcting and eliminating the effect of distance changes on measurements. With employment soaring beyond predictions and unemployment dropping to near pre-pandemic levels, new labour force data suggest that Canada is on its way to a full economic recovery. This past November, Canadian employers added 154,000 jobs to the economy. Last month’s growth exceeded analysts’ predictions of 38,000, which was closer to October levels. The gains pushed employment a full percentage point higher than pre-pandemic levels. Also, unemployment dropped to 6%, which is within 0.3 percentage points of what it was in February 2020. Data from Statistics Canada’s Labour Force Survey reflect labour market conditions during the week of November 7 to 13. Proof-of-vaccination policies and other public health measures were largely similar to those in October. Hiring in November was driven by the private sector both in full-time and part-time positions. Even so, Canada is still experiencing labour shortages across sectors like hospitality, retail, and health care. This calls for a demand of skilled immigrants from across the globe. In September, there were roughly one million job vacancies across the country. Most government COVID-19 financial assistance measures ended in late October. Some analysts say it may have pushed people to accept job offers. RBC economist Nathan Janzen wrote that despite the surge in employment there were still “exceptionally low” levels of workers in the service sectors. This actually suggests the intent of the Canadian Government towards inviting more skilled workforce through its PR programs. India can actually become a frontrunner in such a scenario. “Employment in accommodation & food services edged up 5k from October but is still more than 200k below pre-shock levels,” Janzen wrote. “Travel and hospitality spending has been rebounding, but with the unemployment rate now substantially lower, it is increasingly clear that there are not enough remaining unemployed workers out there to refill all of those jobs any time soon. Overview LDT-L200 is a new generation of ladle lining thickness gauge launched by our company. The system equipment emits a pulsed laser beam to the lining surface of the ladle, and receives the returned laser light to measure its transmission time. Then the system equipment calculates the distance between the equipment and the target point according to the transmission speed of the laser. During measurement, the user pushes the equipment to the certain measuring point on the platform in front of the ladle, and the equipment can start to scan and measure the target area of the ladle after the equipment performs rapid self-positioning. The measuring principle The measurement speed of LDT-L200 can reach up to 2,000,000 points per second, and each scan can obtain distance data of more than 1.5 million points. The actual surface curve of the entire ladle lining can be obtained by combining the measurement data of different positions. During the measurement, the laser head of the equipment rotates at a certain step angle to rapidly change the angle of the pulsed laser beam. Within 1 minute, the three-dimensional surface contour of the ladle lining can be formed, and the thickness information of the furnace lining can be obtained through coordinate conversion calculation. The measurement accuracy up to ±2mm. In order to accurately calculate the thickness of the lining in the ladle, the measuring head of the laser thickness gauge is installed on the ladle repairing platform. By moving the swivel arm for hoisting, the laser scanning head is moved to the intersection position during measurement, and the relative position of the laser head to the ladle mouth will be calculated during installation. Through mathematical modeling, a complete 3D figure of the thickness of the entire ladle lining can be displayed after laser scanning The main components 1. Laser measuring head 2.
