In the event of a pet going missing, Microchipping assists in re-uniting them with their owners. How does a pet microchip work? When a microchip scanner is passed over the skin of a microchipped pet, the implanted microchip emits an RF (radio frequency) signal. The scanner reads the microchip's unique ID code.... Most animal shelters, rescues and veterinary hospitals have scanners that read pet microchips from most manufacturers. The ID is entered onto a Database and the owner can then be contacted or located. Provided the correct or updated info on the system is that of the owner. Chipping to be held at: Pet Professionals Shops 16-18 Davenport Square Brand Road Berea Durban
