Cold Store Manager required for company in the FMCG industry based in Queenstown to oversee various activities involved in the storage of items. You will also be responsible for running, directing and monitoring a team of workers and to ensure efficient running of goods in cold storage and a smooth flow of cold store orders received and dispatched. A position is available for an Intermodal Controller with previous Logistics experience. Main Duties/Key Results Areas: - Mail clearing agents (CA) for feedback on deliveries. - Check / confirm with Cold Stores to establish whether previous day’s plans are in order. - Extract new dump from Dashboard for Delivery Report. - Action vast mails intermittently between tasks for various requests / problems. - Handle vast telephonic queries throughout the day. - Plan Cold Store deliveries. - Collate all delivery received from CA & build delivery report. - Query / resolve discrepancies / inaccuracies on delivery report. - Mail delivery report to organisation. - Raise cold store bookings for all planned & provisionally planned shipments & mail to the various cold stores. - Print all planned deliveries & update dashboard with delivery dates. - Extract current week & forthcoming weeks data & compare with existing data to find new shipments. - Advise clearing agents of new allocation. - Obtain authorisation from credit department for D&C loads - Extract D & C containers planned for the day. Contact cold stores & confirm delivery. - Amend cold stores & advise CA if necessary. - Update Syspro to Status 4 for shipments GRN’d on 901. - Send list to credit department for shipments in suspense. - Change to status 4 once suspended shipments have been lifted. - Mail CA for confirmed deliveries for the day. - Extract shipments confirmed delivered & mail all confirmed containers. - All and any other related duties as expected by the employer from time to time.

Conduct monthly reconciliations of PPE and pallets, investigate and resolve discrepancies Maintain accurate PPE master data, ensure we adhere to it and all changes are correctly recorded on all systems (HR, PPE & BC) Responsible for departmental attendance and Health & safety. Follow up on disputes and forced pallet documents. Daily ordering of pallets, follow up on returns and credit, and the processing of invoices. Ensuring the timely availability of goods to meet operational needs (PPE & Pallets) Job Requirements: The ideal candidate should possess matric and or equivalent qualification, and a degree qualification in either accounting or procurement, supply chain/ Logistics. Additionally, a minimum of 2 years' experience in planning or procurement role in FMCG/ Manufacturing environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office will be an added advantage.
