Chestnut Bush Lodge is situated in a game reserve bordering the Kruger National Park. This reserve is host to four of the Big 5, plus all of the general game. With no fences, the animals are free to roam freely throughout the reserve. We share a border with the Crocodile River and the southern border of the Kruger National Park. We offer tours to Mozambique, a sea experience, tours to Swaziland for a cultural experience, trips to the Kruger National Park for a Big 5 experience and scenic experiences at the Panorama Route. These are done from the lodge where we enjoy African cuisine, with evenings around the fire while listening to the roar of the lions and the laugh of the hyenas. Nestled along the pristine shores of Mozambique, this beachfront lodge is situated 70km north of Xai-Xai in the village of Chidenguele on 8.1 hectares of land, with 412 meters sea front and embodies the epitome of tropical luxury. With its idyllic location, where the azure waters of the Indian Ocean meet the powdery white sands, guests are invited to indulge in a tranquil retreat surrounded by natural beauty. The land is on 49 year lease agreement and renewable after 49 years. Accessible preferably by 4x4 or 2x4 with diff lock vehicles to the Lodge. The lodge boasts a collection of elegantly appointed accommodations, each designed to harmonize with the coastal environment while offering modern comforts and amenities. The building of a restaurant has been started but not yet completed, with a swimming pool, bar area with separate restaurant area, big deck overlooking the sea. To add to this...the amazing new Airport, Filipe Jacinto Nyusi Airport is perfectly situated in the province and located 30km from Xai-Xai, where one could fly into FJN and enjoy a stunning beach vacation. At present the airport has two scheduled commercial flights, Mondays and Fridays. This picturesque lodge offers the following; - Vodacom Booster tower on the property. - Roads on the resort are all completed. - Electricity with a 50kva Transformer and a 50kva backup Generator with Automatic Start on/off switch system. Proper distributions of 3 phase electricity over the Lodge with feeding cables and distribution boxes throughout the Lodge. - Two bore holes that are equipped and with a backup water pit. Water pumps are all installed with pipes, storage tanks and automatic full up switching.
