Kruger View Cottage is a charming, thatched self catering cottage in Marloth Park, and is situated next to the southern boundary of the Kruger National Park against the Crocodile River. Comfortably nestled amongst the shady indigenous sickle bush trees, the porch of the cottage (with braai area and splash pool- perfect for summer!) has a cobbled walkway leading to to the fence of the Kruger itself. Common visitors to the boundary include families of elephants and other popular wildlife. At night, the roaring of lions can be heard, along with the whooping of hyenas. Mornings belong to the calls of fish eagles and hippo, while warthog, kudu and impala can be expected to make an appearance right by the porch as you sip your morning coffee. The cottage can sleep six adults, with the option to accomodate two additional children in the common area upstairs. Each bedroom has an en-suite bathroom, with one being perfectly fitted to cater to people with physical disabilities. The main bedroom has a king sized bed, while the other rooms have two single beds respectively. The open plan kithen and lounge areas blend into a convenient gathering spot, where guests can prepare meals together or simply relax and watch TV after a long day of game spotting. Trees Too Guest Lodge is a family-run guest lodge with restaurant (not self catering) just 8 km from the Crocodile Bridge Gate of the Kruger Park. We are also close to the Mozambique and Swaziland borders for day trips. We have eight en-suite rooms of varying sizes, for one to four guests sharing. The units are mainly set beneath cool thatch with air-conditioning, minibars, tea and coffee-making facilities and TVs. We have a small licensed bar and restaurant serving high-quality fresh food from a varied menu (pre book a table!), so we do not have self-catering facilities. Relax by the sparkling swimming pool in our tropical gardens. Play badminton on our own court or let us arrange your safari drives and bush walks with qualified rangers. We can also arrange elephant back safaris, microlight flights, day trips to Maputo or beach trips, fishing, golf, horse riding and quad biking. We do require 24-hour notice for most activities. Alternatively, drive yourself to many of these locations and we can recommend routes and other places of interest. Komatipoort is a small and quiet town that is a long way from major shopping malls, discos or casinos. It is famously hot and humid here during the summer months from November to February and we have a great winter climate. Use our Wi-Fi zone to stay in touch. We also have secure car parking for reasonably sized cars and a couple of small trailers (pre book trailer space). NB No secure parking for caravans/larger boats. Mountain Rock Cottage is situated in Barberton which is nestled in the heart of the Makhonjwa Mountainlands in the De Kaap Valley; one of the oldest regions and the core of a proposed World Heritage Site. The establishment is within 30 minutes drive to the Kruger Park, Malelane gate and 1 hours drive to the Mozambican border, Rusano Garcia border post. Mountain Rock Cottage has a main bedroom with a double bed and a single bed, the second bedroom has a single bed. The loft area has 2 three quarter beds and a single bed. All rooms have built-in cupboards and linen. There is a boma equipped with a braai and fireplace. The children’s playground is close to the boma area and can be utilised by children on own risk. There is also a cold outside shower to cool down on those hot days. There are many activities to be enjoyed within the area such as some great birdwatching opportunities, self-drive 4x4 routes, hiking, fishing and mountain biking. There is also the chance of seeing small game such as kudu, impala and bushbuck on walks. Vehicle with high ground clearance required to enter premisses. Blueberry Cottage is newly added to the Mountain Rock Cottage establishment which is a free standing self catering cottage with 2 rooms, bathroom, fully equipped kitchen and braai facilities.
