We at Canterberry Stables care for our clients horses like they are our own. We strive in giving the horses what nature intended. Big grass herd camps and spacious individual paddocks with shelters. Canterberry Stables is a place were horses and owners can retreat to. We are situated in the Boland town Klapmuts on a beautiful tranquil 40 hectare farm, surrounded by the Paarl and Franschhoek mountains. We are 10 min drive from the famous Mistico 20 min drive from Durbanville, Stellenbosch and Wellington. We have a big 80x60 arena with jumping equipment and we have a big lunging ring. We have a large farm dam that we utilize in summer and take the horses for a swim. We have lush grazing pastures, two field shelters, a round arena and a flat working area. Natural horse-keeping, no shoes, rugs or stables, and the horses live in a herd. Supervision on the farm. Suit retired horses, or youngsters coming on, but there are also outrides available in the Jonkerhoek Nature Reserve. Family friendly smallholding in the Jonkershoek Valley. Currently we have only one lonely mare! Rate is R1 600 per horse, with a discount for more than one horse. Feed if required is provided by the owner (we do the labour 6 days a week) and if we feed Tef then we divide it pro rata
