Excellent as a first head unit, or as a smaller one with some less risk attached to it. The HR monitor is also in excellent condition, gives very accurate HR data and sits very comfortably.

Garmin Edge 1030 with ANT+ only HR strap (used a few times only before upgrading to Dual-HRM strap), includes standard mounts, no SA topo maps included as unit was purchased overseas but can add SA Topo maps (think they cost R265). Battery life still great should easily get 10-12hrs+, lightly used overall. Always had screen protector and silicone cover on. Only slight scratch marks on rear of cover from stem contact.
