Stellenhof Guest House is in Addo and borders the Addo Elephant National Park. The main gate is 17kms from our beautiful establishment. Here is 10 rooms, sleeps 25 people. Our 4 star establishment is situated on a working dairy and citrus farm. All rooms includes a scrumptious breakfast. The room we are advertising is our Oakwood room, which is our honey moon suite. This room is in our main building with an amazing entrance hall, 3 separate rooms (including the Oakwood room, a communal tv room (although all rooms has their own tv), communal covered deck and braai. The Oakwood has a view of the sparkling swimming pool. The rate is R3200 for 2 people, per night, including breakfast. Spacious bedroom with a full bathroom. If you love country living then this most amazing house is just right for you. This home is close to Addo Elephant Park which is the third-largest National park in South Africa. Conservation Academy on CRAIG DOONE FARM is a wildlife management and conservation academy offering both accommodation and courses for school groups and individuals looking for basic, no-frills accommodation. The accommodation available sleeps between 1 and 34 guests in Self-catering Units and Dorm Rooms. The Self-catering Units are all equipped with beds and bedding, and a kitchen or s/c facilities. There are no TVs and no towels, however the Dorm Rooms and Silo Room all have tea and coffee-making facilities. Laundry can be done in nearby Grahamstown. Guests can explore the numerous walking and hiking trails and get to know a bit more about the conservation projects the academy has to offer. Rock-climbing for overnight guests. Nearby, guests will find the Addo Elephant National Park, Amakhala, Kariega, Pumba and Shamwari Game Reserves, and horse trails. Deer Cottage is a quaint renovated cottage located on a farm just outside of Kirkwood. This farm cottage dates back to 1890 and is home to the resident Axis Deer and Springbuck. Steeped in the history of past Anglo-Boer conflicts, it is now a tranquil getaway for flora and fauna enthusiasts. Environmental friendly solar power and gas appliances and lighting are used The cottage is comfortably furnished and fully equipped for self-catering. The cottage has a large lounge area with fireplace and fully-equipped kitchen. The front of the cottage has a lovely lawn and in the back there is a plunge pool and a jungle gym to entertain the kids. The lapa has a fireplace and a braai area outside. Kirkwood is a quiet Citrus farming community in the heart of the beautiful Sundays River Valley, close to the town of Addo and the northern regions of the Addo Elephant Park. This campsite is situated under indigenous trees on a farm just 4 km inland from the beautiful coastal village of Kenton-on-Sea in the Eastern Cape. Kenton has some of the loveliest beaches in South Africa and lies between two tidal rivers.The Sunshine Coast is a magical place for family holidays, offering swimming, fishing, boat cruises, canoeing, horse riding, hiking, kite surfing, bird watching and long lazy days on the beaches. Stanley’s is only a 10 minute drive from several malaria free Game Reserves and less than an hour’s drive from the Addo Elephant Park. The Royal Port Alfred Golf Club is 15 minute drive from the farm, or there are several art galleries and studios in the vicinity. The Campsite has a communal braai area and outside sinks for dishwashing. There are clean ablution facilities with hot water showers and toilets and the site is safe and peaceful. Although tent sites do not have electricity you are welcome to bring an extension cord and plug in to one of the electrical outlets in order to dry hair or charge a phone or battery. There is a popular restaurant on the site and swings, slide, a trampoline and a play house for younger children. We have a number of sleeping huts which can be hired if you prefer not to pitch a tent. Each hut has an electric light, fan and plug point.
