Assemble, install, test and maintain electrical or electronic wiring equipment, appliances, apparatus and fixtures using hand and power tools and testing equipment. Diagnose malfunctioning apparatus and components using testing equipment and hand tools to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problems. Connect wires to circuit breaks, transformers, or other components. Inspect equipment and components for defects and the need for adjustment or repairs. Plan installation of electrical equipment on fixtures, based on job specifications. Direct and train workers to install, maintain or repair electrical wiring equipment and fixtures. Use of variety of tools and testing equipment. Read technical diagrams and blueprints. Perform physical demanding tasks such as laying conduits and moving and lifting heavy equipment. The ideal candidate will be skilled in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems on trucks and heavy-duty equipment, particularly within the construction industry.
