Third owner of this lovely vehicle which I bought from Pieter-Steph du Toit in December 2022. I then took it for a full mechanical inspection and service and inspection of the chassis, brakes and suspension. To address the findings of the inspections I fitted four new coil springs and adjustable air springs at the back for towing and replaced the suspension bushes as part of preventative maintenance. I also fitted a roof rack and Sony Bluetooth radio which works with the steering wheel controls, but I will include the original radio and 6 CD shuttle. There is absolutely nothing wrong with this vehicle and it drives like a dream. No leaks, everything works like it should including climate control, speed control, 4x4 and drive system, fridge in the console between the front seats, electric seat adjustment and central locking. I also installed a fused 12V feed with a Brad Harrison plug in the boot for a second battery or fridge. The easily removable jump seats are not on the pictures but are included, as is a spare key. After a trip to Kgalagadi in April 2023 and Kruger National Park in June 2023 I bought a double cab to save mileage on the Prado. I wasn’t looking for a 4x4 but happened to find a decent one with a lot of extras. It is my daily commute now and can tow. I wanted to keep the Prado because it’s a much more comfortable and powerful ride, but sadly I can’t afford to. I have to pay off the bakkie (the Prado is not financed). Land cruiser 2004 prado 3 0kzte diesel. Hard to find in manual. Longrange tanks 180 l. Extra battery split system with Bret Harrison plug. Comes with crome Maxe Nudge bar. So much was done lately: Engine and gearbox rebuild. Mileage done now since......... Approx 100 000km. Turbo replaced. Left and right outer cv's replaced. Drive shaft rebuild. New clutch kit. Aircon pump bearings and seals. Also a split battery system for 4x4 fridge and camping... with a Bret Harrison plug in the back and one for the trailer. Tyres 80% life hankook dynapro at2. (About R200 000 spend the last 3years on the moving parts). SO YOU DONT HAVE TO. (you have to do all this rebuilds around 300thou km) Vehicle body is accident free. Few scratches though. Remember its 20 years good. Overall not so bad. This is a great Overlander to travel the gravel roads in Namibia, luxurious, solid and save with huge luggage space.
