5 Frame Nucleus Swarms for sale! In need of bees? Look no futher! Cape Honey Bee / Apis Mellifera Capensis Our Queen Rearing Apiary based in Colleen Glen, Port Elizabeth (Eastern Cape) and Barrydale (Western Cape) aims to produced high-quality queens to add to our nucleus swarms. The resultant 5 frame nuc swarms with laying queens are the offered for sale. How it works: Once our queen cells are ready, they are placed in 5-frame nucs where they emerge into the swarm. They are carefully monitored over the following 21 days to ensure mating has occurred and laying has begun. Thereafter, if brood is being produced in a satisfactory manner, the nucs are available for sale. We need 3 weeks notice for your swarm to be ready. You drop your clean brood box with roof and floor at the apiary and using our established frames with bees and queen, we settle them into the brood box. Once settled for 2 weeks you are welcome to come and fetch your established nuc. The price: R950 (excluding VAT) – we provide 5 frames with bees, brood and young, mated queen.
