Set consists of: 1 Pair Bb'&'W DM308, 3 way floorstanding speakers 1 Pair Bb'&'W DM302, 2 way bookshelf speakers 1 x Bb'&'W CC3 centre speaker Cabinets: 7.0 – have nicks here and there Grills: 6.0 -have tears here and there. Could do with new cloth, then the speakers would look great. The drivers of these speakers look good, so you may want to display them with the grills off Tweeters b'&' drivers: 9.0. Tested and all working 100%. Auditions welcome. 1 of the 308 floorstander’s speaker terminal plates was cracked. I opened up and checked. All electrical parts are fine. It was just the plastic plate that holds the terminals that was cracked. I glued it with clear epoxy. Doesn’t look great, but I was aiming more for a good fix than aesthetics. It’s at the back anyways and won’t be seen. No packaging, but can pack and courier for buyer’s Eb'&'R. Else collect in Humewood, Port Elizabeth. Price: R5500, slightly negotiable for the whole set. he Bb'&'W CDM NT1’s are really a great bookshelf speaker. In addition to stereo music, I use them for main speaker in my home theater setup. They excel at bringing the “real” music out of any source. When I first heard them at the store, some of the music sampled sounded very harsh. I noticed that some of the CD material that they let me sample was copied on CD and probably low quality MP3’s. I brought in my copy of Liquid Tension Experiment and let the place listen to “Osmosis”. There were about 10 people in the store that stopped what they were doing and came over to listen. It sounded that good. From that point, I was sold. The same harsh sound that I experienced at the store was brought home when listening to average recorded material. Above average recorded material cannot sound better. I do have a Sub so that really does make a huge different on the lower end, as the NT’s do miss the really low freq. Sorry, I did not take a measurement, but I’ve seen some written up by HT Mag and you can also find them on the Bb'&'W Web site. My amp does not do these speakers any justice. The Onkyo TX-DS797 is a really good, low priced HT pre/post, but you will definately benifit from upgrading or getting an amp to post process any stereo material. Surround material still sounds great with the CDM’s if you enjoy listening to Orchestra, etc. These speakers have been in my possesion for 1 year. Listen to mostly Rock/Soft Rock, but classical and jazz are simply unbelievable on these babies. For home theater, these speakers sound sweet for mains. You will definately need a sub to hit the real lows for Movies. Pros: If you only have space for bookshelves, these speakers cannot be beat musically or otherwise. The tweeter is exceptional.

Lively and dynamic sound with a big and powerfull sound for such a small speaker, clear midrange and great build and design (real rosewood veneer) b'/xc2/xa0' I´ve heard these speakers 5 years ago on the local dealer and was impressed. This is one of the best speakers i´ve ever heard, much better than the 601 and 602 and also better than the 805 (more musical and lively). The only reason i didn´t buy them was the lack of the deepest bass. I´ve always been using floorstanders, but was forced to sell them because of my new small listningroom. And offcourse i decied to buy the CDM 2´s, and get a pair for only $100 second hand. And after been listning too them in a half year, I´ve get used too them and don´t think I missing something in the deepest bass. I´ve been compared them with the CDM 1´s and the CDM 2´s were superior. The CDM 1´s were slow in the bass and much leeser dynamic, okay the midrange was a bit clearer but in all other terms the CDM 2´s were the best. I´ve listning to the new version CDM 2 SE, and they were disapointing, slow and undynamic like the CDM 1´s (and the majority of all Bb'&'W speakers for that matter). The only problem is the treble, which can sound harsh, especially with S-sounds. (The first pair I borrow 5 years ago were not having this problem) Conclusion: One of the most lively speakers Bb'&'W have made and for the price at $400 (in Denmark) I give them five stars. Get a pair second hand (don´t buy the SE´s!!) and you can´t ask for more.

The best Bb'&'W speaker by far!!!! (Google the reviews, specs and history if you don’t believe me) Extreme rare find. (very few of them ever imported to the RSA) Please google for reviews and you will find that this speaker is regarded as Better than the 800 series. Manufactured in the early 2000’s for the 30th anniversary of this legendary British company. Build quality out of this world!! (just have a look at the internal bracing as shown in the pics) 37 kg each. just over a meter high 1x 1 inch metal dome silver coiled tweeter. 1x 7 inch kevlar cone silver coiled mid/bass driver. 1x 7 inch aliminium cone bass driver. The x over unit has silver wiring in its signal path. All internal wiring – pure silver. Will need very hi end amplification of about 150 – 200 watts/rms. (89db sensitivity) The retail price of this was about R130000.00 (In current rand/dollar value about R250000.00) In very good condition. Finished in a beautiful red birds eye piano gloss. Up for sale, pair of black ash 600s in a magnificent condition. Wall mounted as surround back speakers in a formal lounge, they were hardly ever used, so more than likely not even run in. Note the yellow Kevlar has not discoloured. These were of the last ranges to still be Made in England. One of the more satisfying BWs I ever owned! Auditions welcome. No boxes/packaging though, so preferably local sale.
