NEW PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT IN STELLENBOSCH

Product Developer Location: Stellenbosch Reporting to: Quality Manager Offer: Market Related, negotiable based on formal qualification and experience We are recruiting for a Product Developer to take full responsibility for the operational activities of product development. You will enjoy a great, goal orientated team environment with a supportive and respectful management team. Job Responsibilities will include but not limited to: · Develop new products according to new product brief and client's specification · Manage project activities · Evaluate, source and recommend raw and packaging materials and ensure compliance · Prepare draft costing of newly developed products and recommend feasibility · Research international product trends and create new innovative ideas · Formulate, document and formalize new recipes and specifications · Manage administrative tasks, liaise with clients, suppliers and management · Plan, co-ordinate and implement project activities · Plan, co-ordinate and run factory trials and ensure sufficient hand over of product for commercial manufacturing · Complete finished product specification and other necessary FSS C/ISO documentation · Present new developments to executive team and other clients · Write technical reports and maintain technical records Minimum Requirements: · Tertiary Qualification: Relevant Tertiary Education (preference will be given to degreed applicants) · Experience in Product development in a Food Manufacturing environment · Solid understanding of new product development and processes essential · Excellent MS Office skill · Cost effective production methods · Understanding of Nutrition, knowledge of ISO2200 and Food Safety essential Personal Attributes · Excellent communication and presentation skills · Excellent administration and management skills · Attention to detail and accuracy · Peoples person · Ability to recognise opportunities to simplify processes and create efficiencies · Target driven Please submit application with copy of CV to labeeqahhess@gmail.com by no later than 18 June 2021.
