MOREWOOD BMX (VERY RARE) - PRO XL *** IN SOUTH AFRICA

I’d love to keep this bike, but my garage is already filled to the roof with bikes (and my wife’s sense of humour is non-existent!) This is a rare BMX, and a great bit of South African history. The Morewood was a prototype BMX built around Sifiso Nhlapo, a South African professional BMX racer and two-time Olympian (2008 and 2012). Aside from the prototype bikes built for Sifiso, only 1 batch of bikes was produced in 2012, which were limited to 1 or 2 per frame size. For whatever reason, no further bikes were produced after the first batch, resulting in only a handful of BMX’s in circulation. This bike (see hand engraved serial number on the bottom of the BB) is likely #1 in the Pro XL size, and possibly the only one of this size ever produced.
