A great care has been taken in designing the cutting table surface which is made of Bakelite Plate. The vacuum table has a number of zones with an independent switch control. This is to make sure that only the clamping areas are live.

It comes with a vacuum table pattern with a rubber sealing cord. It has been developed in the aero-dynamics lab and is designed to utilize most of the power from the 5.5kW water ring vacuum pump. The result is a firm holding of all the plates that needs to be carved on.
