Matric – Maths & Science N4/5 Engineering studies – Prev. Millwright / Fitter Mining Authority Trade Test -Non neg. 3 yrs. exp. working as a Qualified Artisan in a MINING PROCESS PLANT environment Must be Medical fit Responsible for the submission of complete and accurate codification applications to Supply Chain. Identify required components / parts on critical systems and produce the necessary documents to facilitate codification of the items. The ability to identifying and accurately describing parts and components of technical systems. Submitting the required codification applications to Supply Chain Management for assignment of unique material (Stock) codes in accordance with the standard protocol. The purpose of material codes are to facilitate an efficient and error free purchasing, stock management and PM processes. Working physically in the Plant, and / or by using Technical Drawings and manuals, systematically identify components and parts of critical systems Find the detailed specifications for the components Prepare material specifications Check if material is already coded (PILOG) Submit correctly completed coding specification to Supply Chain for codification Track coding progress and report on regular basis Interpretation of diagrams, drawings, technical manuals and physical installations Communication - Technical liaison with OEMs, spares suppliers, drawing office, engineering team Computer literacy – MS Office jobspec@work4life.co.za
