CYCLOPS HAMMER H1 WITH BLOWN CHIP IN SOUTH AFRICA
This Hammer just stopped working during a ride one day- exactly 1 month after the warranty expired. Sent it to the service agents which said a power surge had blown a component on the circuit board and that I have to buy a brand new one at my own cost. Traced the damage to a chip on the circuit board myself. Turns out to be a single chip (LMV341IDBVR to be specific) which had blown. It's a pretty basic component (just an operational amplifier chip) found the part online here for R13 (https://www.digikey.co.za/en/products/detail/texas-instruments/LMV341IDBVR/738776) I'm actually an electronic engineer, and swore I'd order the component and fix it after work one day, but just not getting the chance and now moving. So getting rid of a ton of bike stuff. If someone is interested in fixing it and has the time or using some of the mechanical (mechanically, it's 100% sound still) parts, be my guest. Should be a fun little project.
